R1-inspired 5-inch TFT instruments
The R1-inspired 5-inch colour TFT instruments provide you with clear information and underline the R125’s premium status and best-in-class specification. Select your ‘Street’ or ‘Track’ screen theme depending on the riding situation – and match the programmable shift light and rpm meter range easily in 200 rpm increments to your riding style and individual preferences.
Smartphone connectivity
It’s easy to stay connected when you’re riding the R125 by linking your smartphone to its TFT instruments using Bluetooth® and the MyRide app. Once connected, you'll have access to turn-by-turn navigation and destination weather conditions, plus incoming call and text message previews and music song and artist information on the 5-inch TFT screen.
R1-type handlebar crown and switches
Everything about the R125 is designed to give you the ultimate Supersport riding experience. Inspired by Yamaha’s MotoGP® bike, the racy cockpit features a high-quality R1-type handlebar crown – and the clip-on handlebars are equipped with an R1-replica right switch cluster.
R7-inspired LED headlights and position lights
The powerful and compact central LED headlight located in the centre of the M1 MotoGP® style nose underlines the R125’s big bike attitude. Together with the R7-style LED position lights this aggressive face oozes pure R-Series DNA.
Dynamic next generation Yamaha Racing design
Inspired by Yamaha’s winning race machines, the R125’s next generation aerodynamic bodywork gives this lightweight Supersport a commanding big bike look and feel. Its aggressive R-Series face features an M-shaped nose inspired by the M1 MotoGP® bike to underline its racing heritage – and the next generation Icon Blue and continued Tech Black colours with dynamic graphics highlight the bike’s premium finish.
Traction control system
The R125’s traction control system gives you a high degree of controllability during hard acceleration by reducing driving force to the rear wheel, if any tendency to slip is detected. The premium and high specification also includes an Assist & Slipper clutch for controlled deceleration. And the R125 is also pre-wired for the fitment of an optional quick shift system for seamless upshifts.
Torque rich 125cc EURO5+ 4-stroke engine with VVA
Producing 11 kW (15 HP) at 9.000 rpm, the R125’s torque rich 125cc EURO5+ 4-stroke engine benefits from large intake and exhaust valves and a compact combustion chamber for impressive acceleration. Its performance-boosting Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system optimizes the valve timing, to secure a good torque delivery and powerful response throughout the whole rpm range – and the revised sports exhaust system sounds great at all speeds!
High specification suspension
Like every Yamaha R-Series, the R125 is equipped with state-of-the-art suspension. The 41mm KYB upside-down front forks provide an idealised balance of shock absorption and handling stability – while the rear link-type suspension system is designed to ensure excellent roadholding together with a high level of riding comfort.
Deltabox frame and aluminium swingarm
Yamaha’s race developed Deltabox frame design is a signature element of R-Series Supersport technology, and its combination of low weight with high strength ensures agile and stable handling performance. And combined with premium front and rear suspension and a short aluminium swingarm, this class-leading chassis provides you with a lightweight Supersport handling experience.
Outstanding braking performance
Equipped with a large diameter 292mm floating front disc as well as a 230mm rear disc, the braking systems of the R125 produce outstanding performance. Featuring a 2-pot radial mount front caliper and lightweight front and rear discs for powerful and progressive stopping power, this sophisticated braking set-up gives you precise and accurate control.
Wide 140-section Michelin Pilot Street rear tyre
To confirm its strong R-series DNA the R125 runs on Michelin Pilot Street tyres with a wide 140/70-17 rear tyre that gives excellent stability and confident cornering. Offering a good balance of grip and durability, this Supersport style tyre is designed to enable you to optimize the potential of the engine’s broad spread of power, and its wide section accentuates the bike’s aggressive R-Series stance.
Sporty riding position
Besides the M1 style MotoGP®-inspired cockpit, the race-bred R125 is also equipped with a 2-piece rider and passenger seat featuring thick foam for a smooth ride. Services which utilise aftermarket lubiractions and parts will not be eligible for entry.
Can I perform the service myself?
Only servicing which has been carried out and logged by an Official Yamaha Dealership will be considered for entry into the competition.

One entry will be granted per service.
How to Enter:
Simply have any service at any participating Official Yamaha Dealership using only Genuine Yamaha Parts and Yamalube oil on any Yamaha model (motorcycle, scooter, ATV or marine product) during the promotional period.
A copy of the service must be recorded by the Yamaha Motor dealer on the Yamaha Digital Service platform.
No purchase is necessary. You can enter by sending your name, email and telephone number to webmaster@yamaha-motor.co.uk before the end of the competition date with the subjct line - WIN A £500 SERVICE VOUCHER.
Prize:
The prize is £500 towards a future service.
The prize will be credit to the winners nominated Official Yamaha Motor Dealer who will use it against the future service on your Yamaha Motor product.
The prize needs to be taken by 31st December 2026.
Running time of Competition:
This competition is open from 6th August 2025 until 31st December 2025.
Winner Draw and Announcement:
The winner will be drawn at random on 7th January 2026 from all those that have a Digital Service Record uploaded between the promotional dates and who have had Genuine Yamaha Parts and Yamalube oil fitted during the service.
The winner will be selected via an automated random number generation process, verified by the Promoter and overseen by an independent person.
The winner will be informed on or before 14th January 2026 by either telephone or email.
